19 Objective of the Course: with giving basic epidemiological data, giving the health field, its intended use and teach the methods of construction. Distribution of diseases will be presented to determine the prevalence and factors affecting them for the planning of health services to society . Diseases person, place, and time-risk groups of these factors determine the properties and give the ability to learn. Learn features of diseases. gain skills in terms of these factors determine the risk groups. The concept of disease will be brought into a measurable value. for the solution of health problems that threaten the public health and Realistic preventive health care measures will be developed and the application of scientific skills will be gained.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Determining the most common problems that threaten the public health, and health problems that cause death and disabling; uses and learns epidemiological.;
2 Descriptive characteristics of diseases is learned. acquired their ability to examine and evaluate diseases in terms of these factors. ;
3 By learning Epidemiological research methods to gain skills to use scientific and professional activities effectively.;
4 Learns the concepts of incidence and prevalence of diseases and determines the incidence and prevalence of the distribution set.;
5 Gains skills in converting to Scientific evaluation and statistical data used for the measurement of health events, to epidemiologic rate and ratios;
6 Learns and effectively uses Health promotion and disease prevention as primary, secondary and tertiary preventive measures to protect public health;
7 Determine the causal relations between diseases.;
8 May contribute scientifically to epidemiological surveys, plans and field of health;
9 Learns the epidemiological characteristics of chronic diseases. acquires the development of their preventive social and individual skills;
10 Learns epidemiological characteristics of infectious diseases. gains practical skills for preventive measures.;
