19 Objective of the Course: Explaining the concepts of attitude, impairment, disability, handicap in the frame of somoto-psychology, the relationship between the body and behaviors, the effect of disability on emotional disorders, the arise and prevention of the problem of congenial, new psychological environment, behavior explanations, attitude towards disability persons and making those attitudes change by examples.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Be able to define the concepts; attitude, impairment, disability, handicap by giving examples.;
2 Be able to in the frame of somoto-psychology, exemplify and differentiate 5 stages regarding the relationship between the body and behaviors;
3 Be able to explain the effect of disability on emotional disorders, the arise and prevention of the problem of congenial by giving examples;
4 Be able to explain the new psychological environment and the dynamic of new psychological environment with giving the “an effected child from disability” ;
5 Be able to example and differentiate behavior definitions from each other and exemplify them;
6 Be able to explain the attitudes towards disability persons and the ways of changing them.;
22 Course Content:

1 Impairment – Disability - Handicap
2 Attitudes, the relationship between the attitudes and behaviors, the sources of attitudes, effective variants in changing the attitudes
3 Somoto-psychology, the presuppositions of “There is no regular relationship between the body and behavior” and “The body gives shape to the behavior”
4 The presuppositions of “The behavior gives shape to the body”, “Behavioristic and bodily characteristics give shape to a third variant synchronically” and “The behavior is the function of the individual who is in interaction within the environment”
5 The disability and handicap relationship, the effect of the society on the occurrence of disability
6 The effect of the society on the occurrence of handicap, the effect of the society on the occurrence of the difficulty in adaptation
7 General Assesment
8 The disability giving rise to adaptation
9 The reaction of the society to the occurrence of handicap and adaptation problem together
10 Explaining the behavior with general principles, naming explanations
11 Historical explanation, up-to-date explanations, explanation based on observation
