19 Objective of the Course: To teach the biological importance of fungal organisms, important characters of fungal taxa and fungal taxonomy. Fungal morphology, cytology, metabolism (fermentation, biosynthesis, degradation) and reproductive characteristics, life cycles of fungal taxa. Fungal parasites and symbiotically relationships.

1 To defines the general properties of fungal organism.;
2 To defines taxonomic position of fungal groups.;
3 To explains life cycles of fungal organism.;
4 To discusses the importance of fungal organism on ecological, pathological and economical aspects.;
5 To explain the methods of utilization of fungal organisms.;
6 To discuse ecological effects of the fungi in the biosphere.;
7 To define toxic and non-toxic fungi;

5 Saccharomycetales order
6 Archiascomycetes, Filamentous Ascomycetes, I.
7 Archiascomycetes, Filamentous Ascomycetes, II.
8 Plecto-/Pyreno/Discomycetes classes
9 Lichenised Fungi
10 Loculoascomycetes class
11 Basidiomycota orders: Agaricales, Aphyllophorales, Uredinales, Ustilaginales
