1 History and significance of nursing research ;
2 The use of research in nursing and evidence-based practice models ;
3 The use of nursing research in clinical practice ;
4 Developing a research spirit and ethics in the nursing profession ;
22 Course Content:
Week Theoretical Practical
1 Key Concepts Research culture, development of scientific thinking, Nursing and institutional research culture (Challenges and suggestions in creating a research culture)
2 Historical development of nursing research in Turkey. Similarities and differences between the research process and the nursing process
3 Application areas of nursing research. Knowledge and power in nursing, a quality approach in research.
4 The use of research and evidence-based practice models in nursing (John Hopkins evidence-based nursing practice model, Rosswurm-Larnabee model, Parhs model, Iowa model, Stetler model)
5 Common research types in nursing include: Randomized Controlled Trials, Case-Control Trials; Evidence Types: Cohort Studies, Observation, Systematic Reviews.
6 Integration of research findings into clinical and patient care.
7 Research process in nursing (Identifying problems in healthy/sick individual care practices, literature review, data collection, etc.)
8 Research process in nursing (Identifying problems in healthy/sick individual care practices, literature review, data collection, etc.)
9 Developing a research spirit among nurses (individual effort, systemic and managerial unit support) and ethics.
10 Understanding the research process, being able to read and critique published research, and applying the results.
