19 Objective of the Course: To improve the hearing, reading and writing skills of makams which are related to Uşşak and Bayati through knowledge of Turkish music theory
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development The students gains the skills of reading scores, musical analysing and singing or writing the scores of melodies heard.

1 To be able to identify makams which are related to Uşşak and Bayati ;
2 To be able to explain makams which are related to Uşşak and Bayati ;
3 To be able to acquisition of knowledge about makams which are related to Uşşak and Bayati ;
4 To be able to do solfege with makams which are related to Uşşak and Bayati ;
5 Be able to analyze musical pieces composed with makams which are related to Uşşak and Bayati ;
6 To be able to identify musical pieces from repertories of makams which are related to Uşşak and Bayati ;

Measurement and Evaluation Techniques Used in the Course Dictation, solfege reading and analysing, sight singing, assignment.
Information Evaluation; is done by performing intonation, phrasing and musical expression, structural/formal analysing, of the solfeges voiced, dictation of the pieces played and deciphering.
