19 Objective of the Course: The aim of the course is to let students acquire knowledge and skills about seedling cultivation.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Students will gain experience in seedling cultivation, taking into account the environment and human health.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Understands the purpose and importance of seedling cultivation;
2 Gains technical knowledge about seedling cultivation;
3 Can find solutions to the problems encountered in seedling production.;
4 Gains knowledge about ecological demands of different vegetable species;
5 Can produce the seedlings of different vegetable species;
6 Learns the organic seedling cultivation methods;
7 Gains knowledge about general characteristics of seedling facilities;

2 Purposes and the importance of seedling cultivation
3 The current situation, problems and solution proposals of seedling cultivation in the world and in Turkey.
4 Ecological factors for seedling cultivation.
5 Introduction and preparation of seedling growing media
6 Cultivation methods of summer and winter vegetable seedling types
7 Diseases and Pests in vegetable seedlings
8 Cultural prcatices in seedling cultivation
9 Organic seedling production
10 Seedling cultivation in soilless agriculture
11 What is a grafted seedling? Grafted seedling applications in Turkey
12 Grafting methods in vegetables
13 Introduction of seedling planting systems and preparation of seedling planting places
14 General characteristics of seedling production facilities
