19 Objective of the Course: Gardening in hobby garden, methods of reproduction, methods of evaluation of garden products, cultivation techniques of some fruit and vegetable species important for the region

1 1. To know gardening facilities in hobby gardening ;

3 3. To know the evaluation methods of garden products ;
4 4. To know the cultivation techniques of some fruit and vegetable species important for the region;
22 Course Content:
Week Theoretical Practical
1 Explanation of the hobby garden, explanation of the positive effects of the works done in hobby gardening on human metabolism, construction of circular, cross and quadrangle theme planning in the garden facility, explanation of the structure, tools and equipments to be found in a hobby garden, giving examples from planned hobby gardens in different ways
2 Ornamental plants used in hobby gardens; Giving information about the growing of trees and foliage, green trees and trees, embers and cover plants and some ornamental plants growing on the outside
3 Planning and establishment of fruit and vegetable horticulture, vegetable species grown in hobby horticulture and breeding and breeding techniques of these species, climate and soil wishes, fruit species grown in hobby garden and reproduction and breeding techniques of these horticulture, climate and soil requirements
4 Sowing, planting, maintenance and harvesting of vegetables grown in hobby gardens
5 Sowing, planting, maintenance and harvesting of fruit species grown in hobby gardens
6 Definition of dwarf rootstocks, fruit tree growing in hobby gardening, importance of dwarf rootstocks in the cultivation of fruit species in hobby horticulture, types of fruit that can be grown on dwarf rootstock
7 Classification in fruits and vegetables, what sorting is done, examples of species in fruit species classification
8 Midterm exam
9 Information on flower structure of horticultural plants, pollination and fertilization in horticultural plants
10 Reproduction techniques in horticultural plants, sexual (Generative) replication method
11 Identification of the grafting types, a method of asexual replication techniq, grafting methods, types, where, in which cases and why it is preferred, the succes limits of grafting
12 From the asexual reproduction techniques, the description, structure, types, where, in which situations and why the layering is chosen
13 From the asexual reproduction techniques, the description of reproduction method with scion , their construction, types, where, in which situations and why they are preferred
14 Reproduction techniques in horticultural plants, Asexual (vejeatif) reproduction method
