19 Objective of the Course: To give basic information about orthodontic treatment methods
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Taking medical and dental history (anamnesis) from the patient, extraoral and intraoral examination on the patient and evaluating clinical findings, communication with the patient, orthodontic model making, planning and construction stages of the active and retaining elements of the removable appliance on the orthodontic model. Hayce nance, Moyers and Bolton analysis and practical application.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Learns clinical examination and diagnosis methods. After filling out the orthodontic anamnesis and examination form, archives it.;
2 Learns orthodontic model making.;
3 Learns how to make clasp bends and appliance design of removable orthodontic appliances. ;
4 Analyzes and interprets models used in orthodontics.;
22 Course Content:
Theoretical Practical
1.Taking orthodontic anamnesis, filling out an orthodontic examination form, taking orthodontic impression, making orthodontic models, planning the design of orthodontic removable appliances.
2.Hayce nance, Moyers and Bolton analysis and practical application.
3.Making of clasp bends of orthodontic removable appliance
4. Completing the clasp bends of the orthodontic removable appliance and wax modelling.
