19 Objective of the Course: The main aim of this course is to introduce the forage plant species and their growing techniques to the students, and to give informations about meadow-range and their managements. Meanwhile, it is the goal of this course to inform students that meadows, ranges and forages growing in field agriculture are the chief resources of roughages in animal feeding.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development To have comprehensive knowledge about Meadows and Pastures
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 That may know the forage plant species important for Turkey.;
2 That may identify the morphological characteristics of main legume forage plants.;
3 To identify the main forage grasses by their morphological characters.;
4 That may propose the forage plants for differant parts of Turkey considiring climatic and edaphic characters.;
5 To transform the growing techniques of forage plants appropriate fort he region to growers.;
6 That may recognize the differences between meadows and ranges.;
7 That may transfer the informations of range management to animal growers.;
8 That may propose the informations about meadow-range improvements to animal growers.;
9 That may explain the usage of meadow-range lands to users.;
