Objective of the Course:
Contemporary methods and techniques that can be used in Turkish teaching; development of reading, writing, listening, speaking and comprehension skills; diagnosing and eliminating reading difficulties; structure of reading texts; teaching poems, informative and narrative texts, intertextual reading and writing; Making meaning from texts, developing vocabulary, media literacy (visual reading and presentation), reading and using technology, questions and types about constructing meaning from texts; development of critical thinking through reading and writing; speed reading and its techniques; main idea teaching
and methods; purposes, types and rules of reading; assessment of reading, writing, listening, speaking and comprehension; Examining the primary school Turkish curriculum and its relation with other lessons will be covered.

Contribution of the Course to Professional Development
Developing the teaching competencies of the Turkish course, which has the most teaching hours in the primary school weekly course schedule, will support the professional development of primary school teacher candidates.
