19 Objective of the Course: The aim of this course is to help students who are future teachers to understand child psychology and to help them understand the importance of mental health.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Future teachers deal with children and adolescents at pre-school, primary, secondary and high school levels. For this reason, it is very important that they understand child psychology.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Define the basic concepts of child psychology and explain the historical development of this field;
2 Recognise the personality and self characteristics of children;
3 Explain the emotional, social, sexual, cognitive and physical development of children;
4 Understand and explain emotional and behavioural problems in children;
5 Have knowledge and skills about child psychology and mental health;
6 Explain the adjustment problems in childhood from a developmental perspective;
7 Know what to do for behavioural problems in children and can take action;
8 When faced with a problem, tries to try different solutions;
9 Have knowledge and skills about the characteristics and education of children with special needs;
10 Understands the importance of individual differences and approaches each child in this context;
