19 Objective of the Course: Introducing the basic grammar of ancient Greek language
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development To learn Ancient Greek archaeological terms with their etymological structures, to be able to translate basic Greek texts, to translate easy inscriptions and coins
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to recognize the alphabet and the accent of Ancient Greek;
2 To be able to learn the grammar of the Ancient Greek language ;
3 To be able to separate the inflections of the verb, noun and adjective in Ancient Greek;
4 To be able to recognize the most used words in Ancient Greek;
5 To be able to translate easy texts from Ancient Greek to Turkish, Turkish to Ancient Greek ;
6 To learn Ancient Greek archaeological terms with their etymological structures;
7 To translate basic inscriptions and coins;
8 To learn abbreviations on inscriptions;
9 To learn modern words which come from Ancient Greek roots;
10 To be able to guess unknown compound nouns by learning Ancient Greek prepositions;

1 Greek alphabet and it's history, Diftongs, Spiritus, vowels, Accentus, "indicative, infinitive, imperative conjugations of Active Praesens", Articulum, punctuation marks.
2 Verbs, Present and Imperfect Tense
3 Nouns, Articles, Cases, The first feminine declension
4 The first masculine declension
5 Archaeological terminology, etymological details of the terms
6 Simple Future Tense and Simple Past Tense conjugations
7 Second Masculine Noun Declentions
8 conjugations of the verb "to be"
9 Adjectives
10 The temporal augment (Augmentum Temporale), Verbs and adjectives with Contraction
11 Adjective expressions
12 Adjective Grades
13 Adverb, Demonstrative Adjectives
14 The Present and Past Perfect tenses conjugations
