19 Objective of the Course: The purpose of the course is to make learn main phases of Greek civilization that occured since 2nd Millenium BC, to show basic battles and treaties of Greek world and in consequence to reflect to students social-politic and social-cultural daily life of Greek world
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development To have knowledge about the important events (wars, treaties, troops, migrations) that took place in the Protogeometric, Geometric, Archaic and Hellenistic periods and their reflections in the Hellen city-states.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To learn main politic events and politic formations which appeared during ancient Greek history.;
2 To understand main immigrations and colonization in ancient Greek history.;
3 To know main historical events (battles, treaties) which effect Greek civilization.;
4 To know the Modern and ancient literature about course of Ancient Greek History.;

2 Mycenae – Minoan Cultures
3 Historical geography and geograohical boundaries of Greek civilization.
4 Aegean immigrations and Dorian invation. Dark Ages.
5 Greek city-states in Eastern Greece and realitons between Greek and Phrygian, Lydian civilizations.
6 Ancient Greek colonization, colonies and new social structure of Greek society.
7 Reforms at Athens.
8 Greco-Persian Battles. Ionian Revolution, Attic-Delian League.
9 Peloponnesian War. Sicilian expedition. Revolt of the satraps of Eastern Greek.
10 Rise of Macedonian kingdom. Alexander Great and his successors.
11 Main political structure and character of Alexander Great's empire.
12 Afterwards Alexander Great. Wars of the Diadochi.
13 Hellenistic kingdoms and their characters.
14 Collapse of Hellenistic Kingdoms and the power of Rome.
