19 Objective of the Course: To instruct the making of Hatib ebrus the best examples of which, with styled patterns, belong to the eighteenth century. The subject of style and the western influence in other arts in the works of Hatib Mehmed Efendi and of his age. Taraqli Ebru and its different forms which are Western Ebru masters’ favorite. Making Akkasa and written ebrus. Making Koltuk Ebrus and its different forms which are used in the Hat (Islamic Calligraphy) plates.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development To be able to comprehend the development of marbling art in the 18th century and the stylization process in marbling art.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Students will comprehend the subject of art of ebru and style.;
2 find out philosophical background of hatib ebru;
3 Distinguish ebru patterns with respect to style and Islamic Aesthetics;
4 learn making of hatib ebru;
5 Learn the types of hatib ebru and an information about Mehmed Efendi;
6 Learn usage of koltuk ebru in Islamic Calligraphy;
7 Learn usage of koltuk ebru;
8 Learn making of Akkase and written ebru;
9 Learn making of kumlu ebru and kilicli ebru;
10 Be informed about making ebru for the molding and border of Islamic Calligraphy;
