19 Objective of the Course: To introduce the important poets of Modern Turkish poetry to the students, to show the development and trends of Turkish literature with sample poetry studies, to enable students to comprehend poetry analysis methods and to apply them to different poems.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development This course is expected to contribute to Turkish teacher candidates' learning the richness of Turkish through poetry, recognizing important names, examples and stages of Turkish poetry, and understanding the methods they can use while processing poetry texts in Turkish lessons.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Knows the meanings of the concepts of modernity and modern poetry/literature.;
2 Observe how society's feelings and thoughts are reflected in literary works.;
3 Recognizes the basic concepts of poetry.;
4 Will be able to determine and apply the appropriate method(s) among work, author and reader-centered methods for poetry analysis.;
5 Can determine the value of poetry as a work of art through the study of poetry.;
6 Can use the knowledge and skills acquired through poetry analysis in the processing of poetry texts in Turkish lessons.;
