19 Objective of the Course: It is aimed to plan nursing care in cases that require emergency intervention and nursing approach in children.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development This lesson contributes to the student's knowledge of the developments in pediatric emergency nursing, to be able to communicate effectively with the child admitted to the emergency unit and his family, to classify emergency cases according to their medical conditions and to provide nursing care in line with their needs.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Knowing the situation of pediatric emergency in the world and in our country;
2 Ability to perform triage and diagnosis in pediatric emergency;
3 Ability to communicate with the child and family who applied to the emergency department;
4 Knowing commonly used drugs and ways of administration in pediatric emergency;
5 Continuing the follow-up, treatment and care of the traumatized child;
6 Ability to apply basic and advanced life support in children;
7 To be able to plan nursing care in respiratory system emergencies in children;
8 To be able to plan nursing care in neurological system emergencies in children;
9 Emergency response to a child who has had a home accident and poisoning;
10 Distinguish between child neglect and abuse in the emergency;
