19 Objective of the Course: To comprehend word groups, sentence elements, the functioning and types of these patterns and elements in Turkish. Examining sentence structures and sequencing rules in historical process and contemporary written texts with examples. To comprehend syntax teaching and the problems experienced today.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Students follow current issues related to teaching Turkish syntax and syntax.

1 Students know the Turkish syntax rules.;
2 Students, historical texts, knows Turkey Turkish dialects and sentence structures in Turkish.;
3 Students know current issues with syntax.;

Week Theoretical Practical
1 Introduction of the source books, content and objectives of the course. What is syntax? General information about world languages and Turkish syntax.
2 Studies on syntax in the field of historical and contemporary Turkish dialects.
3 Sentence structure of Old Turkish (Köktürk period). Sample sentence analysis.
4 Sentence structure of Old Turkish (Uighur period). Sample sentence analysis.
5 Sentence structure of Middle Turkish (Karahanlı period). Sample sentence analysis.
6 Sentence structure of Middle Turkish (Harezm-Kipchak area). Sample sentence analysis.
7 Sentence structure of Middle Turkish (Old Anatolia). Sample sentence analysis.
8 Sentence structure of Middle Turkish (Chagatay). Sample sentence analysis.
9 Sentence structures in Turkish Dialects. Sample sentence analysis.
10 Syntactic features of Turkey Turkish. Word groups. Sample sentences.
