19 Objective of the Course: This course focuses on fiscal policies for poverty and income distribution problems. The aim of this course is to examine the fiscal instruments of the state for the aforementioned problems.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development It has a contribution towards forming a basis for the development of students' professional skills related to poverty and public policies.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to comprehend the concepts, types, causes and measurement of poverty and income distribution;
2 To be able to explain the relationship between poverty, income distribution and state intervention;
3 To be able to explain tax and public expenditure policies, incomes policy, social security systems to reduce poverty and income distribution inequality;
4 To be able to explain income distribution and fiscal policy in times of economic crisis;
5 To be able to interpret poverty and income distribution inequality as a global problem with the relationship between migration and poverty;
6 To be able to explain fiscal policies regarding poverty and income distribution in developed and developing countries;
7 To be able to interpret the fiscal policies aimed at preventing poverty and improving income distribution in Turkey;
