19 Objective of the Course: To have information about legalization movements in the Ottoman Empire and especially about Mecelle.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Developing the ability to look at today's laws from a broader perspective by learning the historical process of legalization.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Learns the concept of law and its etymological foundations.;
2 Have knowledge about the nature of legalization activities and the stages they go through in the history of law.;
3 Gain an idea about the basics of continental European legal systems.;
4 Have knowledge of statutory laws and customary law.;
5 Learns the legalization movements made before Mecelle in the 19th century.;
6 Understands the general rules of Islamic law.;
7 Learns the content and internal systematics of Mecelle.;
8 Understands the general rules of Islamic law.;
9 Learns what the provisions of the sales and rental agreement in Mecelle consist of.;
10 Understands the effects of Mecelle.;

6 The reasons that prepared Mecelle.
7 Internal systematics and content of Mecelle.
8 The first hundred articles of Mecelle: General rules of Islamic law.
9 Sales contract and its provisions.
10 Rent contract and its provisions.
11 Guarantee agreement and its provisions.
12 Power of attorney agreement and its provisions.
13 Countries where Mecelle is implemented.
14 Effects of Mecelle.
