19 Objective of the Course: To have sufficient knowledge about the military, political, economic, social and cultural occupation of Islamic world by colonial powers of Western after the Geographical Discoveries, to give an overview to understand and evaluate the causes and consequences of events occurring during this period and to provide the use of the acquired information in contemporary issues.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development To be able to follow innovations and apply them in the field by using the competence of collecting information, researching and analyzing them.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To understand the first territorial losses in Islamic world.;
2 To recognize the effescts of Geographical Discoveries to the Islamic World.;
3 To understand that there is a close relation between the Geographical Discoveries and the colonization of the Islamic World.;
4 To compare the first territorial losses in the Islamic World with the colonization activities started by the Geographical Discoveries.;
5 To recognize that colonial powers acted coordinated in the process of colonization of the Islamic world. ;
6 To recognize that colonial powers used their technological superiority as an instrument of psychological pressure, as well.;
7 To analyze the relation between the period began with the Geographical Discoveries and Tsarist Russia’s colonization of Tukhistan.;
8 To recognize that Islamic world Exposured to social and culutural assimilation besides the exploitation of tangible resources. ;
9 To compare the colonization of Islamic world after the Geographical Discoveries with Islamic World’s today’s status.;
10 To analyze the colonization of Islamic world after the Geographical Discoveries with/and Islamic World’s today’s status.;
