19 Objective of the Course: Ensuring understanding of the unique approach styles of Turkish Sufis and their contributions to the field in the development process of Sufi thought.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development It is extremely important for staff working in the field of religious education to accurately comprehend the role of the Turks in the shaping process of Sufism, one of the main interpretations of Islam.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Understanding the role of Sufism in the phase of Turks' adoption of Islam.;
2 Learning the basic sources of Turkish Sufi thought;
3 Correctly analyzing the background of the Sufi tendencies of Turkish Sufis;
4 Getting to know the Sufi thought of the Seljukid period;
5 Understanding the basic tendencies of Ottoman Sufis;
6 Getting to know the main Sufi classics written in Turkish language;

7 Haji Bektash Velî and his understanding of Sufism
8 Rumi and his Influences
9 Yunus Emre and his contributions to Anatolian Sufism
10 Ashiq Pasha and his thought of Sufism
11 Niyazi al-Masrî
12 Basic features of Turkish Sufi thought
13 Basic sufi texts written by Turkish Sufis
14 The current state of Turkish Sufi thought
