In this course, it is aimed that the student will gain knowledge about the ideological and philosophical assumptions behind the critical social psychology. It is also aimed that the student will be aware of the theoretical/methodological diversity within the critical approaches.

Contribution of the Course to Professional Development
This course gives the student the ability to approach the field of social psychology with a critical perspective. It also helps him/her realize what kinds of assumptions his/her social psychological knowledge is based on. Finally, the student develops the ability to diagnose problems in social psychological practice with the help of the critical approach.
