19 Objective of the Course: This course aims to explore the historical, aesthetic, and technical aspects of mosaics and wall paintings as significant elements of Byzantine art.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development It seeks to analyze the iconographic features of these artworks within their religious and cultural contexts, enabling students to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of Byzantine artistic heritage.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Students will be able to explain the historical development, techniques, and aesthetic characteristics of Byzantine mosaics and wall paintings.;
2 Students will be able to analyze the religious and cultural contexts of mosaics and wall paintings within Byzantine art.;
3 Students will be able to identify iconographic elements of the Byzantine period and evaluate the significance of these works within art history.;
