19 Objective of the Course: It aims to provide medical students with the four main skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in English by using current course materials and medical articles specific to the field of medicine.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development To understand and interpret a medical text in English correctly. To be able to use reading strategies while reading an English text about medicine. To be able to understand and use the most frequently encountered medical words and terms in English. To be able to discuss medical issues using Medical English. To be able to use English vocabulary learning strategies. To be able to recognize the differences between General English and Medical English.

1 Dealing with the advanced level of medical texts in English;
2 Using right vocabulary while speaking to patients and colleagues;
3 Presenting a research article in English;
4 Coping with unknown words through vocabulary learning strategies;
5 Being able to read current medical texts and research articles in English;
6 Using skills of paraphrasing;
7 Writing a cover letter to apply for a postgraduate study or work abroad;
8 Explaining the instructions relevant to medical contexts;
9 Discussing current topics in English;
10 Being aware of the medical websites ;
