19 Objective of the Course: In this course, the students of the Department of International Relations degree along the way that will contribute what they learned about Turkish foreign policy, specifically, are intended to have knowledge about the relationship between Turkey and Greece. In this context, firstly, the foreign policy of the Republic of Turkey to topics to be analyzed within the course to create a substructure, Greece will be discussed permanently and periods of the historical development of Turkey-Greece relations as (Ottoman Empire Greek-Turkish relations, the Greek War of Independence, the Balkan Wars , First World War, Sèvres and Lausanne Treaties, Atatürk Period, İsmet İnönü Period 1938-1945, 1945-1960 Period, 1960-1990 Period, Post-Cold War Period). Following this transfer the background of the problematic areas in the Turkey-Greece relations / issues identified as titles, as proportional to the content of historical development, the parties will examine the legal arguments and the current dimensions.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Conceptualizes the events and facts related to the field, examines them with scientific methods and techniques, interprets and evaluates the data. Defines and analyzes problems related to the field, and develops solutions based on evidence and research. Students' developmental characteristics, individual differences; Applies the most appropriate teaching strategies, methods and techniques taking into account the characteristics and achievements of the subject area.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Ensure that students have knowledge about the historical development of relations between Ottoman Turkey and Greece;
2 Students problematic areas in Turkey-Greece relations / issues can be identified;
3 Students have knowledge about effective policies of other States and international organizations in Turkey-Greece relations;
4 Students read literature sources in Turkey-Greece relations and current developments related to interpret analytically;
