19 Objective of the Course: This course aims to examine the moral principles of the Quran and Sunnah and to analyze the reflections of these principles in the literature of Islamic moral thought. Thus, by examining the individual and social dimensions of the moral problems of contemporary Muslims, it is aimed to gain the ability to produce solutions in this matter.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development It is aimed to create a solid background in order to produce solutions based on the Qur'an and Sunnah to current moral problems.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 In this course, the student has knowledge about moral education methods by examining the examples in the Qur'an and Sunnah.;
2 S/he evaluates the concepts, methods, representatives of Islamic morality and its relationship with contemporary moral theories.;
3 S/he analyzes the definition of human being in terms of ontology and moral philosophy.;
4 S/he examines the moral principles in the Quran and Sunnah.;
5 S/he analyzes the basic concepts of moral philosophy, ie. virtue and unvirtue.;
6 S/he evaluates the principles of virtue and unvirtue according to the Quran and Sunnah.;
7 S/he examines the relationship of religion with morality and law in dimension of individual and society.;
8 S/he evaluates the literature of the major thinkers of Islamic morality on the subject.;
9 S/he analyzes the solutions that the human model in Islamic moral thought will offer to the moral problems in the contemporary world.;
10 S/he analyzes the relationship between religiosity and morality.;
