Objective of the Course:
To acquire knowledge about composers and their stylistic properties by examining the periods of music.

Contribution of the Course to Professional Development
To comprehend the history of piano, the composers who have written music for piano and to acknowledge historical, structural and musical aspects of the piano literature.

To be able to explain the stylistic properties of Renaissance and Baroque periods.;

To be able to give information about the general properties of Classical period music and Vienne school composers.;

To be able to explain the stylistic properties of Romantic period and its piano music.;

To be able to know the composers who wrote piano pieces in Romantic period.;

To be able to explain the stylistic properties of Russion piano music.;

To be able to explain the effect of impressionism on music.;
