19 Objective of the Course: The aim of the internship is to enable the students to approach the patient's in the field of prevention and treatment of diseases to educate. The aim of the internship is to give theoretical and theoretical information to the patients about thoracic trauma, to the patients with thoracic trauma. . Targeted skills, clinical approach to thoracic surgery patients, observation of thoracic tube insertion, practical and theoretical demonstration of emergency interventions in foreign body aspirations, demonstration of the approach to intensive care patients, demonstration of bronchoscopy and emergency thoracic decompression. The aim of the course is to understand and adopt the scientific power of the causes of diseases, diagnosis and treatment, to be compassionate, honest and trustworthy in patient physician relations, to take an ethical approach in a deadly disease, to comprehend the importance of self-learning throughout life.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Explain the surgical anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system. Common and surgical / interventional treatment of the respiratory system, mediastinum and esophagus the causes of the diseases that require them, their mechanisms of formation, the clinical findings they cause and explains the principles of surgical approach. Takes history from the patient with respiratory system complaints. Makes a physical examination of the respiratory system. Basic diagnosis used in the diagnosis of respiratory system, mediastinum and esophagus diseases explains the methods and processes. Laboratory to guide diagnosis and treatment based on anamnesis and examination findings chooses his tests in the appropriate order. Basic diagnostic test related to the respiratory system (chest X-ray, arterial blood gas, whole blood,biochemical tests). Respiratory system by evaluating anamnesis, physical examination findings and laboratory tests,differential diagnosis of mediastinum and esophagus diseases requiring surgical / interventional treatment makes preliminary diagnosis / diagnosis. Explains surgical treatment methods in respiratory system, mediastinum and esophagus diseases. Applies basic medical interventions (pleural puncture etc.) for the respiratory system. Describes emergency surgical situations related to respiratory system, mediastinum and esophagus. makes the first intervention at the level of the step and refer appropriately. Preventive measures in respiratory system and esophagus diseases (hydatid cyst, cancer, etc.) explain. The importance of a multidisciplinary approach to problems related to the respiratory system and esophagus is aware. Communicates effectively with patients and their relatives.
