19 Objective of the Course: Relations new movements in contemprory Turkish art with changes after 1950, happening in the social and cultural millieu are explored with the paintings of various artists.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Comprehend the current tendencies of Turkish Art in the context of modern, postmodern and contemporary concepts, and associate with these own production.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Explain the main lines of modern Art in Turkey from 1950 to today, how plastic language has changed, what are the turning points.;
2 Discuss the contribution of unique artist styles to the modern development of Turkish art.;
3 Relate the concepts of modern, modernism and postmodernism to contemporary Turkish art practices.;
4 Associate abstract, abstraction, geometric abstract, expressionist abstract concepts with contemporary Turkish Art applications.;
5 Analyzes abstract and figurative works in the context of originality - identity, locality-universality problems in contemporary Turkish Art.;
6 Explain the effects of social events from 1950 to the present on contemporary Turkish painting in the historical process.;
7 Explain the effects of social events from 1950 to the present on contemporary Turkish painting in the historical process.Analyzes the contribution of everyday life, gender, criticism of capitalism, popular and kitsch culture to form in contemporary art practices.;
8 Explain the contribution of conceptual art applications to Turkish art.;
