19 Objective of the Course: To instruct students to the common problems of Islamic Philosophy and religion.To provide the ability of differentiate religious issue from philosophical one.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development The interpretations of the relationship between philosophy and religion from the Ancient period to the sixteenth century.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To explain the difference between the attributes of philosophical subjects and those of other subjects;
2 To evaluate Neo-Platonist approaches to metaphysical issues.;
3 To analyze the Medieval philosophy, considering philosophical activity and interaction in a wide realm.;
4 To discuss the position of religion in philosophy and the approaches to relationship between philosopher and prophet.;
5 To analyze the emergence of tradition of tahafut and its positive and negative influences on the history of Islamic thought.;
6 To compare the approaches of first philosophers from Magrib and Andalus to the relationship between philosophy and religion;
7 To interpret the rejection of philosophy.;
8 To evaluate the discussion on natural theology and revealed theology ;
9 To interpret the scholastic view on philosophy and the influence of Islamic philosophy on this view;
10 To explain the interpretations about philosophical approaches to religion in the sixteenth century.;
