19 Objective of the Course: To make students comprehend the approaches of contemporary sociologist to religion, completing the student’s formation in sociology of religion, and to make students cognizant of the daily debates and literature
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Students improve their knowledges on current sociology.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Students learn various approaches in philosophy of science;
2 Student can have a critical stance towards classical sociology;
3 Students become aware of the evolution of the subject-matter of sociology and the factors that have impact upon that;
4 Students will learn the theories of contemporary sociology;
5 Students will be familiar with the literature in the study of sociology of religion;
6 Students will know in detail the views of contemporary sociologist of religion on religion;
7 Students will be cognizant of the functions of religion in the contemporary society;
8 Students can make sound assessments about the place of religion in society and change;
