19 Objective of the Course: To introduce the students sufi tradition since Seljuks and inform contribution of its tradition to religious understanding in modern Turkey.

1 To evaluate the basic terms of sufi life in Anatolia;
2 To research the history of other religious groups in Anatolia;
3 To know foundations of Islamic mysticism and their representatives.;
4 To know contributions of sufi lodges to social and cultural life in Anatolia. ;

3 Khorasan orders in Anatolia
4 The influence of Maghribi and North African sufi thought
5 Sufi schools originating from Anatolia.
6 Bektahshi culture in Anatolia
7 The influence of Mawlawi order in Ottoman social life
8 Bayrami culture in Anatolia
9 The contribution of Jalwati dervishes to sufi tradition.
10 Sufi tradition between tekke and madrasah
11 The relationship of sufis with government mans.
12 The function of sufi foundation in Anatolia.
13 The place of Ottoman sufi literature and poetry in sufi tradition
14 Anatolian community and sufi culture.
