19 Objective of the Course: The purpose of this course is to teach music, whole note, reading whole note and beat in order to help the student perform adequatly.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development It allows the candidate to decipher the scores she sees and to do solfege.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Knows the basic music terms.;
2 Knows the notes between C and G on the clef. ;
3 Can perform the Bona reading of the notes between C and G on the clef. ;
4 Can perform the decoding of the notes between C and G on the clef;
5 Can read the solfege parts consisting of the notes between C and G on the clef. ;
6 Knows the nuance terms. ;
7 Knows the speed terms;
8 Can read the solfege parts according to speed and nuance terms. ;
22 Course Content:
Week Theoretical Practical
1 Sextet, septet and octave exercises in solfege reading
2 Decoding solfege reading exercises
3 Teaching note values and eight notes and reading the solfege parts that include the notes at this value
4 Performing Bona of the solfege parts between c and g
5 Explaining the sound technique in reading the solfege parts with legato and staccato methods
6 Writing exercises for small solfege parts
7 Preparation for the general assessment
8 General Assessment (Midterm Exam)
9 Reading exercises for the solfege parts including different rhythms between c and g
10 Reading practices for the solfege parts according to their nuances
11 Reading practices for solfege parts according to their speed terms
12 Rhythmic analysis exercises for the parts taken from different sources
13 Reading exercises for the solfege parts taken from different sources
14 Repetition of the studies within the term
