19 Objective of the Course: To make students comprehend the strategies, methods and techniques of teaching vocabulary and gain an overview of vocabulary teaching.

1 Understands the basic concepts related to vocabulary.;
2 Understands the strategies to be used to improve vocabulary.;
3 Uses vocabulary teaching methods and techniques.;

1 Introduction and evaluation of the resources related to the course.
2 Relationship between language and thought, importance of vocabulary teaching and vocabulary.
3 Turkish vocabulary, elements of vocabulary, basic words.
4 Types of words: noun noble words.
5 Types of words: verb noble words.
6 Idioms, proverbs, phrases, terms
7 Permanent structures in word group mold.
8 Basic concepts of vocabulary teaching. Word frequency and creating a list of words to be taught.
9 Basic principles in learning and teaching vocabulary.
10 Word learning and teaching strategies.
11 Word learning and teaching strategies.
12 Learning vocabulary and teaching methods and techniques.
13 Learning vocabulary and teaching methods and techniques.
14 General evaluation.
