19 Objective of the Course: In this lesson it is aimed to provide advanced theoretical knowledge about cattle, sheep, goat, horse and pigs digestive system diseases and diagnose, treatment and prophylaxis about this diseases
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Learn advanced knowledge about the most common digestive system diseases of cattle, sheep, goats, horses and pigs.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Learns the digestive system diseases of ruminant, horse and pigs in detail.;
2 Learn to diagnose these diseases, makes the differential diagnosis and knows the other methods of diagnosis;
3 Learns the most appropriate and correct treatment plan for diseases.;
4 To learn considering the public health of these disorders during treatment of animals with food value.;
5 To learn prevention of zoonosis;
6 To learn considering economic aspects in the treatment of animals with food value.;
7 Knows protection methods to prevent of diseases.;
8 Learns to evaluate diseases in all process.;
22 Course Content:
Week Theoretical Practical
1 Diseases of oral cavity, stomatitis,alveolar periostitis, BLAD.
2 Diseas of pharynx and esophagus, approach to rumen diseases
3 simple food indigestion, acute rumen acidosis.
4 Chronic rumen acidosis, rumen alkalosis, rumen putrefaction, rumenitis, rumenal constipation
5 Primary and secondary tympani, acute abdomen (acute abdominal pain), RPT, diaphragmatic rupture.
6 Vagus indigestion, ruminal collapse, obstruction of the ostium retikulo-omasicum, omasum constipation, ruminal drinking.
7 Abomasitis, tympania of abomasum, left displacement of abomasum.
8 Right displacement of abomasum, torsion of abomasum, abomasal ulcer
9 Abomasum constipation, expansion of abomasum and discharging insufficiency of abomasum in sheep and goats, cecal dilatation and cecal torsion
10 Enteritis and diarrhea, neonatal diarrhea,
11 Foodborne diarrhea, hemorrhagic bowel syndrome,
12 Intestinal obstructions, paralytic ileus, pneumorectum, pneumoperitoneum, peritonitis
13 Liver diseases; hepatitis and hepatopathy, liver abscesses, white liver disease, theiler’s disease in horses, tyzzer’s disease
14 Diseases progress with colic in horses
