19 Objective of the Course: Acquisition of the skill of reduction methods of the musical material for various instrument communities and symphonic orchestra.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development To gain orchestration skills which is a requirement of composition.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Student can understand the sound properties of various instruments and ensembles.;
2 Student can analyze a reduced musical piece by listening. ;
3 Student can determine to which instruments/instrument groups, structural factors such as harmony (accompaniment), bass will be given in terms of resonant and musical aspects.;
4 Student can apply the resonant- balance principle in the sound and chord building.;
5 Student can explain the different orchestration techniques and styles used in Baroque, Classical, Romantic periods and 20th century music.;
6 Student comprehends romantic period orchestration techniques.;
7 Student can reduce a musical piece to its simplest state.;
