19 Objective of the Course: The aim of the course is to enable IR students analyzing the general global security needs and what kind of policies are carried out to respond them.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development That course will provide a basis for the students in security and strategy studies which are the basic subfields of the IR discipline.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to distinguish the fundamental concepts such as security, national security, global security, strategy and tactic;
2 To be able to demonstrate knowledge on contemporary security issues and discuss solutions to them;
3 To be able to analyze the weak and strong aspects of security strategies against the security risks and threats within the framework of legal and institutional structure;
4 To be able to make comparison between the security strategies of great powers and those of regional powers;
