19 Objective of the Course: The aim of this course is teaching sound features of Turkish to teacher trainee and making them gain the ability of using the language effectively and writing the language in a correct way by getting them to distinguish the Turkish words and quotation words.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Turkish teacher distinguishes the words in Turkish literature texts in terms of morphology.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Acquiring the features of Turkish and literature works, created with this language, and transferring these features to performances that will be done.;
2 To know the language’s coming into existence, the structural features of Turkish and world languages.;
3 To know categorization of world languages..;
4 To know historical periods of Turkish language and important works in these periods and to draw a conclusion from them by commenting on them.;
5 To know the branches and its study field.;
6 To know the sound features and sounds of Turkish.;
7 To know the sound events of Turkish and show these changes in writing.;
8 To know the appendices, which are to be written apart or adjacent and division of the syllables at the end of the line.;
9 To learn language structure of Turkish and its general features and conversion of them into the behavior when they are used.;
10 By understanding teacher’s role in guidance and the ways to acknowledge the student, to know and apply them in different learning approaches along with the students’ developmental features.;

1 Definition of language, Its being a living, social association and a secret system of agreements.
2 Language in the world and classifying these languages in terms of source and structure
3 Theories of languages’ coming into existence and parts of the grammar
4 Historical periods of Turkish language and leading works in these periods
5 Features of vowels and consonants in Turkish; the consonant that is not at the beginning or at the end of the word
6 From the sound events, sound derivation at the beginning, middle and end of the word
7 From the sound events, sound deduction at the beginning, middle and end of the word
8 From the sound events, syllable deduction, cohesion, vowel clash
9 From the sound events, vowel collapse, vowel resemblance
10 Resemblances of vowels
11 Resemblances of consonants
12 From the sound events, stricture of consonants and smoothness, roundness and slimness of the consonants
13 Turkish alphabets used throughout the history, importance of the writing, and sound events’ being shown in the text.
14 Writing the syllables that are at the end of the line and spelling applications.
