19 Objective of the Course: Islamism is one of the major currents of thought about the modernization period, to get the essence of Turkey, origin, to have knowledge about the history and trends
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development The student has knowledge about recent history thought movements.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To get knowledge of the nature of Ottoman and Islamic world confrontation with the modern West. ;
2 To get knowledge of the reactions of the Muslim world to modernity;
3 To get knowledge of the foundations and nature of Islamic thought.;
4 Gets information about Ottoman thought after Tanzimat.;
5 Modern Turkey's idea to learn about the dynamics of the world;
6 Understanding of the relations between the political, economic and historical flow of the modern world and the thought movements in the Islamic world. ;
