19 Objective of the Course: In this course, it is aimed that the students have knowledge about the effects of international migration and population movements on the foreign policies of the States and the policies of international organizations on these issues. In this context, first of all, the concepts of migration, remigration, immigrant, refugee, asylum, asylum seeker, country of origin, destination country, transit country, etc. within the framework of various migration theories in order to create a theoretical background to the subject, as of periods of the several States including Turkey (US, Russia, China, Japan, etc.) will be transferred to immigration policies. In connection with the content of the course is also Turkey's immigration policies of the parties due to the European Communities under the European Union accession process will be analyzed.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development The course will contribute to students' analysis of current migration and population movements.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Students ability to use the basic concepts of international migration and population movements correctly;
2 The location of the migration found in the Ottoman Empire and Turkey's history, the legacy left today of the importance of these experienced students can identify their migration;
3 Students are informed about the effects of international migration and population movements on the foreign policies of the States and the policies of international organizations on these issues;
4 Students will be able to analyze the current developments in international migration analytically by reading the sources in Turkish and foreign literatüre;
