19 Objective of the Course: To know the basic philosophies and elements that compose Turkish Art Music, to recognize Turkish Art Music, to comprehend the Turkish Music Sound System, to comprehend simple makams and procedures in Turkish music, to create solfeggio, dictation and melody.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Knows the basic philosophies and elements that make up Turkish art music. Does your definition.;
2 Turkish music knows the sound system.;
3 Recognizes the main sequence and tuning systems.;
4 Knows and applies the makam and its constituents.;
5 Knows and applies the methods.;
6 Knows and differentiates makam and makam types.;
7 Performs solfeggio and dictation exercises in accordance with the level. ;
8 Performs a voice in simple makam series.;
9 He gained experience in the use of simple makam series in education.;
22 Course Content:
Week Theoretical Practical
1 Short history of Turkish Art Music, definition and constituents. Turkish art music is played by the first formation works.
2 Turkish Music sound system, changing signs, intervals, and simple quads and fives. Recognizing comed sounds, creating quads and fives, transposing.
3 Items that make up the maqam, the bench and the buselik maqam Vocal exercises for the bench and buselik series.
4 Main series and the makam and mahur makam. Vocal exercises for Rast and mahur series.
5 Types of methods and simple methods. Simple methods to practice.
6 Hicaz makam and hicaz family. Hicaz makam and hicaz family are trying to voice other series.
7 Uşşak and bayati makam. Exercises to voice Uşşak and bayati series.
8 Kürdi makam. Studies to voice the Kürdi series.
9 Hüseyni and muhayyer makam. Studies of voice over Hüseyni and muhayyer series.
10 Pass and transpose. Transposition of the series of makams.
11 Dictation and solfege techniques in Turkish Art Music. Dictation and solfege exercises in known series.
12 Dictation and solfege techniques in Turkish Art Music. Dictation and solfege exercises in known series.
13 Simple suzinak makam. Exercises to voice the simple suzanak sequence.
14 Karcığar makam. Voice over the Karcığar series.
