19 Objective of the Course: Defining the Late Ottoman Period Architecture. Features of the Baroque, Rococo, Empire and Art Nouveau stiles. examining the architectural works of these currents.

1 The student recognizes the development of Late Ottoman Architecture.;
2 Late Period’s workmanship and periodic properties are known.;
3 Student understands the functional and structural development of new buildings.;
4 Has become aware of the development style and epigraphy on the buildings.;
5 Learns the importance institutions of foundations in Ottoman social life.;
6 The student sees the difference between the works of foreign architects after abolition of the Hassa Architects Quarry;
7 In addition to the simplest plan schemes applied in the late period, he sees extreme decoration.;
8 The student follows the Baroque schemes especially on the palaces and pavilions.;
9 He follows the reflection of the Rococo style on the buildings.;
10 He sees the effects and usage areas of empirical current in art.;

1 The reasons of development and change in Late Ottoman Architecture are emphasized.
2 The abolition of the Hassa Architects Quarry and the difference between the works of foreign architects are explained.
3 The style, technique of construction, decoration and writing program are emphasized.
4 In the Late Ottoman architecture, mosques, madrasas, tombs, lodges and structures are emphasized. The Studies are taught with the visual material. Each student takes a structure and makes a presentation about it.
