19 Objective of the Course: To give students information about follow-up of dialysis patients,care and rehabilitation to gain the knowledge; situations that require care to gain problem solving skills; information from previous lessons to integrate this course and give the ability of the patient taking a holistic approach.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Knowledge of the basic concepts of dialysis/ hemodialysis and to estabilish the relationship between these concepts;
2 To integrate information from previous lessons in this course;
3 Laws, regulations and legislation to have information about dialiysis nursing. ;
4 Equipment and tools used in dialysis to recognize;
5 Dialysis prior, during and after the care requirements for identifying the correct and efficient manner;
6 Holistic approach by using the nursing process in accordance with the professional and ethical principles to practice dialysis care for patients;
7 Accurate and efficient way of evaluating the care of dialysis patient;
8 Ability to rehabilitate the patient by taking a holistic approach;
9 To assume the educational role to ensure the participation of patient and family care;
10 To have the ability to transfer what they have learned and evaluate;

2 Types of dialysis and dialysis-phsysiological principles
3 Indications for dialysis ( Acute dialysis, Chronic dialysis)
4 Equipment and tools used in dialysis
5 Vascular access for hemodialysis roads and heparinization
6 Hemodialysis application methods and dialysis adequacy
7 Acute and chronic complications of hemodialysis
8 Peritoneal dialysis
9 Periton Diyalizi Komplikasyonları Peritoneal Dialysis Complications of peritoneal dialysis
10 Hemodialysis in special situations (pregnant women, the elderly, Crush syndrome, intoxications)
11 Infection in Dialysis Patients
12 Nutrition in dialysis patients
