19 Objective of the Course: The objective of this course is to comprehend the basic hydrological processes for improvement and management of agricultural watersheds and perform fundamental hydrological analysis for design of water structures, surface drainage systems, and the projects concerning sustainable use of natural resources (soil and water).

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 perform the measurements of precipitation, evaporation and flow;
2 analyze precipitation, evaporation and flow records;
3 make infiltration analysis;
4 determine design runoff rate of watershed using the methods based on rainfall-runoff relations;
5 estimate the annual water yield of the watershed;

1 Hydrologic cycle Rainfall measurement at the meteorological station
2 Rainfall and rainfall measurement Analysis of precipitation records at the computerized project classroom
3 Analysis of precipitation records Evaporation measurement at the meteorological station
4 Evaporation Infiltration calculation at the computerized project classroom
5 Infiltration Calculations of groundwater flow at the computerized project classroom
6 Groundwater flow Flow velocity measurement with flow meter and discharge measurement on a small river
7 Flow measurements and data analysis Calculation of peak runoff of the watershed at the computerized project classroom
8 Repeating courses and midterm exam Hydrograph analysis at the computerized project classroom
9 Runoff Hydrograph analysis and calculation of peak runoff of the watershed at the computerized project classroom
