19	Objective of the Course:	To provide knowledge of the properties and machines of clothing processes and to establish relation between process parameters and production quality .

Learning Outcomes:

1	Being able to explain the structure of clothing plants. Being able to present the suitable production process for garments in clothing plants.;
2	Being able to present the suitable spreading for different fabric types and to present planning for spreading and cutting processes.;
3	Being able to recognize the seam classifications. To establish relation between seam types and fabric properties.;
4	Being able to recognize sewing threads.;
5	Being able to recognize sewing machines. To establish relation between machine parameters and seam processes.;
6	To be capable of doing a teamwork and transfer knowledge using presentations techniques.;

1	Developments in clothing industry in Turkey. Structure and department of clothing plants.
2	Design and pattern construction, size charts of garments.
3	Workflow in cutting department, quality control of fabrics and lay plan.
4	Important parameters for making a lay plans Types of lay plan. Important parameters for spreading and spreading machines
5	Cutting process and cutting machines
6	Modern cutting automats
7	Sewing parameters and basic stitch types
8	Seam properties Midterm exam
9	Seam techniques and their properties
10	Sewing threads and their properties
11	Construction of a sewing machine , sewing machine needles
12	Sewing machine shuttles, hooks and loopers.
13	Sewing machine feeding systems, presser foot and automation of sewing machine
14	Ironing and pressing machines, quality control processes for garments, packing systems for garments.
