19 Objective of the Course: The aim of this course is to introduce theoretical and practical issues in development economics and to develop critical and analytical thinking abilities of the students in development policies.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to interpret development indicators and make cross country analysis.;
2 To be able to evaluate countries’ development processes in the frame of economic development theories. ;
3 To be able to evaluate the roles of the sectors in the development process and efficiency of sectoral development policies. ;
4 To be able to grasp the importance of alternative sources and capital accumulation for development financing.;
5 To be able to evaluate the roles of public and private sectors in development process.;
6 To be able to analyze the development process with its social dynamics.;
7 To be able to analyze the development process by evaluating economic, social and political processes together.;
8 To be able to provide solution proposals for the problems in the development process. ;
