1 To conceive both the place and importance of ancient philosophy;
2 To understand the birth of philosophy as a transition from muthos to logos;
3 To see the relation between ancient Greek Philosophy and Western Civilisation;
4 To understand the basic problems of ancient philosophy;
5 To make an introduction to the philosophies of important Greek philosophers;
6 To have some ideas about the influence of ancient Greek philosophy both to Christian and Islamic civilisations;

4 Elean Philosophy (Parmenides-Zenon) and the philosophy of Herakleitos
5 Plüralists (Empedocles, Anaxagoras and Atomists)
6 Sophists: Protagoras, Gorgias
7 Socrates: His Life, Philosophical Methodology, and ethical views
8 Socrates: Philosophy of Education and Political Philosophy
9 Plato: His Life,Works, Metaphysics and Epistemology
10 Plato: Ethics, Aesthetics, Political Philosophy
