19 Objective of the Course: To introduce the geography generally in which todays Islamic World and Muslims live, to give a perspective which can understand and analyze the main Islamic states and their historical and cultural ways and their relationship with our country and their locations over world geography and to provide the information learned using in interpreting the today’s events.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To show the geography Muslims live as the majority or minority on the map. ;
2 To analyse the relationship of Islamic countries between each other. ;
3 To analyze the relationship of Islamic countries with Turkey in the history and today;
4 To understand the relationship between Islamic countries and Muslim Turkish world;
5 To understand relationships between Islamic countries and Muslim minorities.;
6 To understand the cultural relations between Islamic countries. ;
7 To understand the demographic potential of Islamic countries in today’s world.;
8 To understand the economic potential of Islamic countries in today’s world.;
9 To compare the political status of Islamic countries with the structure in the contemporary world;
10 To recognize the situation of Islamic countries across the world’s sovereign powers ;

2 Main Islamic countries in The Middle East: Iraq, Jordan, Syria.
3 Main Islamic countries in the Arab Peninsula: Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman
4 Main Islamic countries in the Persian Gulf: Bahrain, United Arab Emirates
5 Main Islamic countries in Asia: Iran, Afghanistan
6 Main Islamic countries in Indian subcontinent: Pakistan, Bangladesh
7 Main Islamic countries in Southeast Asia: Indonesia, Malaysia
8 Main Islamic countries in North Africa: Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco
9 Some Islamic countries in Africa: Sudan, Nigeria
10 Islamic countries in Balkans: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina
11 Muslims live in European countries
12 Muslims live in India
13 Muslims live Russian Federation and China
14 Muslims live as minority in the other countries.
