19 Objective of the Course: Course primaily aims to teach the students methods of necropsy, description of postmortal changes, differentiation of various lesions observed in infectious diseases, toxications, travmatic injuries and pathologic organ displacements.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 After graduation, the student is expected to perform necropsy procedure in domestic animals. ;
2 The student is expected to recognize and interpret gross lesions in cadaver, organs and tissues. ;
3 The student is also expected to be able to express gross lesions orally and written. ;
22 Course Content:

1 Definition and the aim of necropsy, necropsy tools, ethics and biosecurity Presentation of necropsy tools
2 Rules and techniques of euthanasia Practical expression of techniques of euthanasia
3 Death and death monuments Detection of death monuments on cadaver
4 Anemnesis, exterior inspection. General necropsy techniques and necropsy positions Practical expression of exterior inspection, necropsy positions and general necropsy techniques
5 Necropsy procedures of ruminants Practical expression of necropsy procedures of ruminants
6 Necropsy procedures of equides Practical expression of necropsy procedures of equides
7 Necropsy procedures of dogs and cats Practical expression of necropsy procedures of dogs and cats
8 Necropsy procedures of pigs Practical expression of necropsy procedures of pigs
9 Necropsy procedures of avian species Practical expression of necropsy procedures of avian species
10 Necropsy procedures of laboratory and some wild animals Practical expression of necropsy procedures of laboratory and some wild animals
11 Selecting and sampling of necropsy material and biosecurity of transportation Selecting and sampling of necropsy material
12 Definition of macroscopical lesions, macroscopical diagnosis and diagnosis methods Demonstration of cause of death with macroscopical findings in clinical cases.
13 General diagnosis, organs diagnosis, total or group diagnosis, determination of death causes. Demonstration of cause of death with macroscopical findings in clinical cases.
14 Preparing a necropsy report Writing of a necropsy report following the examination of cadavers.
