To illuminate the veterinarian about eye diseases that encountered in all animal species and to gain the ability of solve the problems. |

The presentation of course content and introduction of specific diseases of the eye. |

The detailed anatomy of eye and physiology of vision in all animal species. Refraction abnormalities in animals. External examination methods of the eyes. Special examination techniques: Schirmer tear test, ophthalmic dyes, measurement of intraocular pressure, paracentesis of anterior camara. ultrasonography of the eyes. |

Internal examination methods of the eyes.
The drugs and eye dressings used in eye diseases.
Wound of the eyelids, blepharitis. The function abnormalities of the eyelid (blepharospasm, lagophtalmus). Stick to the eyelids (Atresia palpebrarum, Blepharophimosis, Ankyloblepharon, Symblepharon). |

Aetiology, diagnosis and treatments of Trichiasis, Distichiasis, Entropium Ectropium. Diseases of palpebra tertia: Eversion palpebra tertia, hypertrophy of glandula palpebra tertia superficialis, conjunctivitis follicularis.

Diseases of the conjunctiva: Wounds and inflammation of conjunctiva. Conjunctivitis catarrhalis, conjunctivitis prulenta, conjunctivitis sicca, parenchymatous conjunctivitis, conjunctivitis diphterica, conjunctivitis granulosa, conjunctivitis parazitaria. |

Diseases of the cornea: superficial, deep and perforate wounds of cornea. Keratitis; keratitis superficialis, parenchymatous keratitis, keratitis spf. pigmentosa, keratitis prulenta, keratitis punctata, keratitis spf. chronica, keratitis posterior. Corneal ulceration. Corneal discoloration. |

Descematocele, iris staphyloma, corneal staphyloma. keratokonus, keratoglobus, xerosis cornea, cyst dermoid.
Diseases of the anterior camera: anterior and posterior synechia. Hypopyon ve hypohaema. Perforate wounds of anterior camera and treatment options. |

Diseases of the lens: subluxation and luxation of lens to anterior and posterior camara. Cataract types and treatment options. |

Diseases of the corpus vitreum: Pathological reactions related to corpus vitreum. Abnormalities and heamorrhagia of corpus vitreum. |

Diseases of the iris and choroidea, iriditis, uveitis, aetiology of uveitis in dogs, uveitis in cats, systemic diseases. |

Glaucoma, breeds that are predisposed to glaucoma in dogs and cats, aetiopathogenesis, examination methods in diagnosis of glaucoma, medical and operative treatment options. |

Diseases of the retina: retinopathies, retinal degenerations, retinitis, retinal detachments, retinal haemorrhage, amaurosis and its aetiolgy. |

Orbital disesases. Hidrophtalmus, endophtalmitis, panophtalmitis. Exophtalmus, Strabismus, Nystagmus. |

Eye operations, eyelid operations, entropion and ectropion operations, operations in palpebra tertia. Surgical manuplations in corneal wounds, cataract operation, eye tumour operations. |
